Mantiq of the Mantis

MotM is a retreat for dreamers, thinkers, writers, poets, artists, and book lovers – an experiment for realizing weird fiction, obscure art and elusive impressions of the strange and insatiably curious.

In an attempt to re-imagine the experience of reading, feeling, touching and smelling books MotM want to preserve the art of unique, hand-crafted book making where the form depends solely on expressing the author's original content. MotM does not want to bind itself to any existing or pre-conceived notions of print/publishing but instead believes in the art of book making dealing freely with different methods, formats, languages, content and modes of expression that defy expectations attached to the experience of reading books.

MotM thrives in the company of the woody smell of old books. Here we shake hands, hearts and souls with fellow lovers of books; tearing tired perceptions and experiencing the commonplace as new once again.

It is the premise of this reciprocal exchange of values and sentiments that forms the ethos of MotM.
