People often inquire about the name of our school. L’ecole is pronounced as Lehcole (h silent) and means “The School”. Since the academic session 2012, we introduced a new section for age group ranging from 1.5 to 4.5 years, Les Pommes pronounced “Lay Pom” meaning “The Apples” in French.

Les Pommes is the three preparatory years before Grade 1. The programme has been designed to groom and prepare les petit pommes (the small apple) to get to the main stream.

L’ecole Primary Year Programme (PYP) from Grade 1 to 5 is an initiative from L’ecole that focuses on providing the students with the best elementary and primary educational experience in terms of academics, co-curricular activities and personal growth.

L’ecole offers school level programmes via Les Pommes (Preschool), Primary Year Programme (PYP), Middle Year Programme (MYP) and ‘O’ Level Programme (CIE). As an affiliate of the University of London, L’ecole offers external degrees in Bachelor of Law (LLB), Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law and Bachelor of Science (BSc).

Description

It all started in the year 1998 when L’ecole (French for “The School”) opened its doors to provide the finest quality of A Level education in the city. A Level education leading to foreign university placement was a newer concept in the 90’s. Fewer students took on the challenge of taking the “difficult” A Levels and studying abroad. L’ecole became a pioneer A Level school and, through its strong college counseling programme, sent students to universities all around the world.
